Prof. Onisimo Mutanga from University KwaZulu-Natal will give a talk on Evidence - Based Management of Natural Resources: The role of Remote Sensing on 8th November at 2 pm in room Kvantti (C208) in Physicum, Kumpula campus.
Prof. Mutanga is professor for Remote Sensing & GIS and SARChI Chair in Landuse Planning and Management. He is also Associate Editor of ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing.
He is also acting as an opponent in the PhD thesis defense of Rami Piiroinen on Nov 9th, at 12. The defense will take place in Chemicum, A129. The title of Rami’s thesis is: Airborne imaging spectroscopy in mapping of heterogeneous tropical land cover in Eastern Africa.
The lecture of Prof. Mutanga can be used also for a MSc seminar in Geoinformatics.
