      A "network of regional networks", coordinates regional and global analysis of observations from micrometeorological tower sites.
    • GAW (Global Atmospheric Watch) 2008-2015
      Aims to maintain and apply global, long-term observations of the chemical
      composition and selected physical characteristics of the atmosphere, emphasis quality assurance and quality control, deliver integrated products and services of relevance to users.

 

  • European

    • ACTRIS (Aerosols, Clouds, and Trace gases Research InfraStructure Network) 2011-2015
      Project aims at integrating European ground-based stations equipped with advanced atmospheric probing instrumentation for aerosols, clouds, and short-lived gas-phase species.

    • AnaEE (Analysis and Experimentation on Ecosystems) 2012-2016
      Research infrastructure for experimental manipulation of managed and unmanaged terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, currently in preparatory phase.

    • COPAL (COmmunity heavy-PAyload Long endurance Instrumented Aircraft for Tropospheric Research in Environmental and Geo-Sciences)
      Preparatory Phase study in the ESFRI roadmap, has the objective of providing the European scientific community with a unique research aircraft platform capable of operating in any remote area in the world and offering a heavy-payload for the integration of a large range of instruments for multidisciplinary research in environmental and Geo-sciences.
    • ENVRI (Common Operations of Environmental Research Infrastructures) 2011-2014
      Collaboration in the ESFRI environment cluster to develop common e-science components and services for their facilities.
    • ExpeER (Experimentation in Ecosystem Research) 2010-2014
      European Infrastructure project in the field of Ecosystem Research.
    • ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System) 2013-2031
      Research Infrastructure for quantifying and understanding of the greenhouse gas balance of the European continent and of adjacent regions, ICOS ERIC is hosted by Finland
    • InGOS (Integrated non-CO2 Greenhouse gas Observation System) 2011-2015
      EU funded Integrating Activity project targeted at improving and extending the European observation capacity for non-CO2 greenhouse gases.
    • Life Watch
      E-science European research infrastructure for biodiversity and ecosystem research.
    • SIOS (Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System)
      The overall goal is to establish an Arctic Earth Observing System in and around Svalbard that integrates the studies of geophysical, chemical and biological processes from all research and monitoring platforms.

 

  • Nordic

    • BACCI stations 2011-2015
      The BACCI network aims to reduce the uncertainties related to the global climate change, particularly those related to atmosphere-biosphere interactions, and shall develop new instrumental techniques for long term continuous measurements of aerosol particles and cloud condensation nuclei.

    • eSTICC (eScience Tools for Investigating Climate Change at high Northern latitudes)
      The goal of eSTICC is a more accurate description of the high-latitude feedback processes in the climate system by improving the eScience tools of the climate research community. eSTICC has the status of a Nordic Center of Excellence.
    • Nordflux (A Nordic research network supporting the study of greenhouse gas exchange from northern ecosystems) 2011-2015
      The main objective of the network is to provide a platform for PhD students and younger researchers to develop the research in the field of global climate change in particular on the exchanges of the main greenhouse gases, CO2, CH4 and N2O.
