Picture Information

Aurora borealis over Kuopio, Finland, some time in the latter half of 80's. If my memory serves me right, this photo was taken during a noctilucent cloud watch, so it is probably August. The arc was beautifully green also to the naked eye, but not as clearly as in this photo. It was also quite active, but I think that is obvious also from the picture. Unfortunately, the film was a bit too slow for this fast-evolving aurora, but then again, it was a noctilucent cloud watch... I may have a better photo of auroras in my collections, need to check some time.
