Earth's shadow, rising from the horizon opposite to the setting sun, some time during the 80's, as seen from lake Onkivesi in Maaninka, Finland. This photo was taken about half an hour after sunset, probably near the end of July (The sun sets with a very gentle slope at that time still). Above the shadow, the sky is clearly reddish or purple, as usual.
