A halo display seen from the Huuha Observatory in Kuopio, Finland, around the end of 80's. This is typical mid-summer halo in Finland, with the sun being high in the sky. The 22 degree halo is clear but relatively faint, but the tangent arcs are bright and unusually well developed for a finnish halo (I've seen better, though). I have a lot of halo photos, so perhaps I will put something nicer here, eventually. For now this will do. (© Timo Nousiainen) |
