The CLUVEX project 2nd<\/sup> Virtual Exchange Week (VE Week) wrapped up on 16th<\/sup> May 2025, marking another successful step in the development of an innovative, interactive online learning model focused on climate and sustainability. This week-long event brought together up to 200 participants daily, offering students the opportunity to collaborate in small groups, engage in the “Climate Horizon” group exercise, and exchange perspectives across borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized as part of the Climate University initiative, the VE is still a relatively new format. Organizers emphasized the importance of interaction in CLUVEX online learning environments \u2014 an aspect they are actively developing and studying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organizers noted that \u201cCreating meaningful interaction in virtual settings remains a challenge, that\u2019s why participant feedback is crucial. It helps us refine the course structure and explore optimal moments for learning and social engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some encouraging comments from participants of the 2nd<\/sup> VE Week: \u201cI never thought online learning could be this engaging. CLUVEX connected me with students from different cultures, and we worked together on climate solutions that actually matter \u2026 The platform is user-friendly, well-organized, and offers high-quality learning materials along with strong support from moderators. \u2026 I gained valuable knowledge and had the opportunity to connect with peers from around the world \u2026 highly recommend CLUVEX to anyone looking to broaden their horizons, improve their skills, and experience a truly international academic environment!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CLUVEX 3rd<\/sup> VE Week is scheduled for autumn 2025: 6-10 October 2025. The Call for Students as well as the Call for Moderators for the upcoming VE Week will be open soon, and the application period will open at the turn of August-September 2025. The CLUVEX Partners hope that 2nd<\/sup> VE Week had been a good experience for all participants, and that they can recommend such course to your fellow students. If  participated as a student, the student can participate in the next upcoming VE Week as a moderator and participate the moderators\u2019 get-together-trainings meetings in early fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CLUVEX project team encourages all participants to continue their learning journey through the Climate University’s open online courses, which cover a wide range of topics in climate and sustainability sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
