T<\/span>he Symposium on Education and Training (SYMET) is organized by the\u00a0WMO<\/span>\u00a0Education and\u00a0<\/span>Training<\/span>\u00a0Office<\/span>\u00a0once every four years\u00a0to assist the international community in meeting current meteorological and hydrological education and training challenges and those that are foreseen to arise over the next five to ten years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This year, the theme of SYMET will be \u201cEducation and Training in a Period of Rapid Change<\/strong>\u201d, chosen to emphasize the challenges we all face in confronting the rapidly progressing technology, service delivery expectations, globalization of the meteorological enterprise, growth in urban environments, and impacts of climate change, among others.<\/p>\n Academician Markku Kulmala, Director of INAR, University of Helsinki, will have a Keynote talk\u00a0 “A Look at the Future of International <\/span>Meteorological and Hydrological” on Monday, 22 November.<\/span> The Symposium will be held on 22-26 November online.<\/p>\n Agenda and more details at WMO website.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
