About 400 participants from different continents joined it.<\/p>\n<\/div><div ><span class=\" fusion-imageframe imageframe-none imageframe-2 hover-type-none\" style=\"width:100%;max-width:60%;\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1390\" height=\"644\" title=\"MK first slide\" src=\"https:\/\/www.atm.helsinki.fi\/peex\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/MK-first-slide.jpg\" class=\"img-responsive wp-image-4266\"\/><\/span><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\" style=\"margin-top:4%;\"><p>Professor Markku Kulmala was one of the key invited speakers on the conference plenary session (see photos). In his presentation \u201cOn the importance of continuous\/long-term comprehensive observations: From local clustering to regional air quality and global climate\u201d he informed about INAR relevant studies as well as PEEX collaboration of European countries with China and other Eurasian partners.<\/p>\n<\/div><div ><span class=\" fusion-imageframe imageframe-none imageframe-3 hover-type-none\" style=\"width:100%;max-width:60%;\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1390\" height=\"644\" title=\"MK with last slide\" src=\"https:\/\/www.atm.helsinki.fi\/peex\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/MK-with-last-slide.jpg\" class=\"img-responsive wp-image-4268\"\/><\/span><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\" style=\"margin-top:4%;\"><p>WMO Chief Scientist Prof. Juerg Lutterbacher officially opened the conference, Prof. Greg Carmichael, the Chair of GAW SSC, provided overview of current WMO research projects.<br \/>\nProf. Guy Brasseur, co-chair of the conference, provided a great overall conference outcomes presentation.
