The re-kick-off-meeting of the Erasmus+ ClimEd project on \u201cMultilevel Local, Nation- and Regionwide Education and Training in Climate Services, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation\u201d (http:\/\/climed.network<\/a>) took place online on 8th February 2024. In total, 25 participants from different European (Estonia, Finland, Spain) and Ukrainian Universities attended this meeting.
\nThe ClimEd project is aimed at development of competency-based curricula for continuous comprehensive training of specialists in the field of climate services in Ukraine, as well as the initiation and development of additional education in climate change for decision-makers, experts in climate-dependent economic sectors and the general public, which contribute to stabilization of the national economy in the face of climate change and its adaptation to the upcoming climate change. The regional priority is the modernisation of curriculum by developing new and innovative courses and methodologies in the subject areas as defined (Environment).
\nThe goals of the re-kick-off meeting included the following topics: (i) to assess the ClimEd project status, including task completion, remaining work, and finances; (ii) to decide on the consortium composition, equipment procurement, and fund transfers, in relation to OSENU’s reorganization; and (iii) to discuss key implementation matters.
\nDuring the meeting, short presentations\/updates on each WP\u2019s completed and remaining tasks were delivered by WP leaders, as well as update on financial status based on data from all Partners. Presentations followed by discussions on impact of OSENU\u2019s reorganization \u2013 review current situation, options, timeframes, changes in consortium composition, equipment issue, assessment of need for financial adjustments due to re-organization. The discussions on implementation included topics on roadmap, organizational structure, changes to staff of the project, frequency of project meetings, expected interim reporting, and workplan.<\/p>\n
