We are pleased to announce that the ClimEd Project is entering the final stage in the development of lecture materials for three forward-looking educational programmes that will make a significant contribution to advancing climate education and professional training in Ukraine. All course materials are being finalised and will be fully available by 1 September on the ClimEd Moodle Platform:\u00a0http:\/\/re.climed.network\/.<\/a><\/p>\n

These efforts focus on two academic levels\u2014PhD and Master\u2019s\u2014across three cutting-edge programmes: Climate Service (PhD), Climate Service (Master), and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (Master). Each programme has been designed to respond to the growing need for expertise in climate science, resilience, and sustainability in a rapidly changing world.<\/p>\n

Together, these programmes form a comprehensive and interdisciplinary educational framework aimed at equipping future climate professionals with both advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills tailored to the demands of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

In the PhD programme, students will engage with topics such as dataset management, deriving climate products, forecasting models, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (with a focus on SDG 13), Ukraine\u2019s climate policy, management of national climate services, and strategic communication in the climate sector.<\/p>\n

The Master\u2019s programme in Climate Service offers essential training in climate dynamics and modelling, climate data and indicators, risk assessment, climate products, and gender- and vulnerability-informed approaches. It also addresses national and international climate policy frameworks and supports the development of practical mitigation and adaptation strategies for key Ukrainian sectors.<\/p>\n

The Master\u2019s programme in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation provides a strong foundation in climate science, covering global warming, greenhouse gases, climate projections and scenarios, impact and vulnerability assessments, public engagement, international climate law, and the economics of climate change. Real-world case studies and best practices will ensure applied learning and actionable insights.<\/p>\n

All lectures and course resources will be accessible via the ClimEd e-learning platform:\u00a0http:\/\/re.climed.network\/<\/a>, designed to support educators, students, and institutions working in climate-related fields.<\/p>\n
