The University of Arctic Thematic Networks meeting will be held on October 14-15 at University of Akureyr Iceland. The meeting discusses, how to engage with Arctic Council working groups, how UArctic, as Arctic Council observer, could be more active in these working groups, how to make an idea of a project for an Arctic council project. Also the 5th International Polar Year is in the agenda and we discuss, how best to advance UArctic’s participation in IPY.<\/div>\n
The meeting will also present the results of UArctic’s thematic networks. The highlight of the year for the PEEX \/ Arctic – boreal Hub thematic network has been organizing the AASCO event in Monaco in February.<\/div>\n
