EGU26 General Assembly was a great success again. It welcomed 22\u2019497 registered attendees, of which 20\u2019027 made their way to Vienna from 125 countries and 2\u2019470 joined online from 107 countries. 20\u2019173 presentations were given in 1\u2019014 sessions. Thereby, 58% of the abstracts came from Early Career Scientists (ECS).<\/p>\n

Our join oral presentation EGU26-5452: \u201cTowards Urban Climate Services: Urgency and Importance of Seamless Multi-Scale Modeling Tools to Support Climate Adaptation and Sustainable City Development<\/strong><\/a>\u201d, as an overview of European and Asian collaboration results of PEEX, FOCI, WMO IUS and many other joint studies, was presented by Alexander Baklanov<\/strong> on one of the biggest EGU Sessions CL2.3<\/a>:\u00a0 Urban Climate Science and Services: Observations, Modelling, Tools, and Action for Resilient Cities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Alexander Baklanov also was a co-convener of the EGU Session AS3.40: \u201cIntegrated Prediction of Weather and Atmospheric Composition<\/strong><\/a>\u201d, co-sponsored by\u00a0WMO\u00a0and\u00a0CAMS, which was initiated by him together with\u00a0Johannes Flemming<\/a>\u00a0and Georg Grell<\/a> on EGU in 2011, and which successfully continuing annually during last 16 years. \u00a0New EnviroHIRLAM studies by our Ukrainian collaborators were also presented on this session by Daria Hrama<\/strong> (see EGU2026 \u2013 PEEX related presentations \u2013 PEEX Blog<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Outi Meinander<\/strong> (FMI) on the Virtual Poster Session VPS20<\/a>\u00a0presented joint Nordic countries study EGU26-16935 \u201cDust in the Arctic: feedbacks and interactions between climate change, aeolian dust and ecosystems<\/strong><\/a>\u201d by Outi Meinander, Andreas Uppstu, Pavla Dagsson-Waldhauserova, Christine Groot-Zwaaftink, Christian Juncher J\u00f8rgensen, Alexander Baklanov, Adam Christenson, Andreas Massling, and Mikhail Sofiev.<\/p>\n

Additionally a Splinter Meeting SPM22 | PACES \u2013 air Pollution in the Arctic: Climate, Environment and Societies<\/strong>\u00a0was organized by PACES Chairs Steve Arnold and Kathy Law.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
