The first Virtual Exchange session of the second iteration for students was carried out on 13 November 2025. In total, 251 participants attended the online exchange.










During this session, the students were introduced to the UnaVEx project, its history, and the vision behind it. Furthermore there was an in depth explanation of the sustainability action task which lies at the core of the UnaVEx virtual exchange. There was a guest speech ‘Imagination in Action’ from Kairos Futura; a Nairobi-based art collective. The day ended with a first exercise in the groups to test out the different features of the MIRO board and to get to know each other.

Session 4 – 4 December 2025 with a guest speech from Professor Cush Luwezi, University of Kinshasa, on Foresight in Agriculture, Food and Energy: Planning and Managing Water in the Changing Global Environment
Session 5 – 11 December 2025 with a guest lecture from Professor Solomon Derese, University of Nairobi

UnaVEx main objective is to offer accessible, affordable and sustainable international on-line exchange opportunities to all students interested in Global Sustainability education. UnaVEx aims to increase environmental awareness, knowledge of the green transition and skilled in sustainability transformation of young generations and societies both in Europe and Africa. UnaVEx builds on the UnaEuropa on-line MOOC and virtual exchange workshops.
The second virtual exchange session will take place on 20 November, from 15:00-18:00 Helsinki Time.
