We are happy to announce that the third UnaVEx call for students opens 15.1.2026! Una Europa Virtual Exchanges for Sustainability (UnaVEx) is a 1 ECTS virtual exchange course for university students interested in sustainability.
The next UnaVEx exchange takes place in March 2026 and consists of five weekly online sessions:

The virtual exchange meetings are held in the afternoons at
- 14–17 (Bologna, Kinshasa, Leuven)
- 15–18 (Helsinki, Johannesburg)
- 16–19 (Nairobi)
During the course, students will explore sustainability from multidisciplinary and intercultural perspectives, attend inspiring guest lectures, work in international groups with students from European and African universities, and collaboratively plan a Sustainability action.
UnaVEx is an EU-funded ERASMUS+ project coordinated by the University of Helsinki together with leading partner universities in Europe and Africa. The exchange offers an accessible and sustainable way to gain international experience and build skills for sustainability transformation.
