Lake Valkea-Kotinen

Lake Valkea-Kotinen is a small boreal lake located in Southern Finland. Surface-atmosphere interactions through EC fluxes of energy, momentum and CO2 were measured during 2003-2009 and the dataset is the longest of its kind.The measurement system consisted of a Metek ultrasonic anemometer (USA-1, Metek GmbH, Elmshorn, Germany), which measured the three wind components and virtual temperature, coupled with a closed-path gas analyzer (IRGA, LI7000, LiCor Inc., Lincoln, Nebraska,United States), which measured the water vapor and CO2 concentration.
