Project Description

The Nordic Climate and Air Programme opens the Call for applications to Nordic collaborative projects to support the implementation of the Programme for Nordic Co-operation on the Environment and Climate. It aims to facilitate cooperation and increase knowledge to limit and prevent the adverse effects of climate change and air pollution, as well as fostering the transition towards climate neutrality and the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, UNECE Air Convention.

Programme focus areas:
(*) Support the Nordic ambition on clean air and climate change, as well as strengthening the development of international efforts in these areas;
(*) Promote a green transition within high-emission sectors;
(*) Strengthen the Nordic environmental and climate resilience as part of a wider mission to increase the total resilience of societies.

This Call aims to support initiatives that increase knowledge and facilitate cooperation across the Nordic region within the above-mentioned three focus areas. The results shall be in line with Nordic priorities and may in addition have an impact on an international and global level. The programme can fund activities, such as analyses, reports, dialogues, seminars and alike, that support policy development, capacity building and the expansion of the knowledge base.

Deadline: 9 November 2025
Projects granted funding will be notified by the end of 2025.
The suggested size of grants for projects (one- or two-year) is 500-950 kDKK.
