Project Description

The 2nd International Conference on “Climate Service – Science and Education” is planned for 16–18 April 2025 at the Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University (ONU; Odesa, Ukraine) in a hybrid format. The Conference aims to bring together experts, researchers, and educators to discuss the latest advancements in climate services.
Topics:
(1) Issues of climate services in the areas: agriculture and food security, energy, transport, construction and architecture, city management, healthcare, and water management;
(2) Education in climate services;
(3) Climate risks and adaptation to climate change on regional and local levels.
Round Tables will take place on 16 April 2025:
13:00-15:00 pm of Ukrainian/ Finnish time
Round-table discussion on “Fostering Climate Change Awareness and Cultivating Green Skills Among Youth for a Sustainable Future” will be held in the framework of Erasmus+ project “Climate University for Virtual Exchanges” (CLUVEX; https://www.atm.helsinki.fi/cluvex).
15:30-17:30 pm of Ukrainian/ Finnish time
Round-table discussion on “Bridging the gap between provision climate services and needs of climate-dependent sectors” will be held in the framework of Erasmus+ project “Multilevel Local, Nation- and Regionwide Education and Training in Climate Services, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation” (ClimEd; http://climed.network).
