Project Description

The Erasmus+ ClimEd project is arranging the 4th training (onsite/ hybrid, 6-10 May 2024, Vila-Seca, Tarragona, Spain) on Developing Learning Courses in Climate Services considering needs of different users. The ClimEd Trainings are focused on training the faculty staff at the ClimEd partner institutions in advanced educational and information-and-communication technologies for building a flexible multi-level integrated practice-based education system in the field of Climate Services, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.
The programme of this training includes a series of lectures (morning hours) on climate datasets and indicators, user-engagement and co-creation climate services, climate projections, economic valorisation of climate services, tourism and climate services, and examples on how to apply climate services in different fields. The individual and team/ group work on home-work-assignments, including consultations, will take place on afternoons. The work will be linked to climate related topics for agriculture, energy, technical design and construction, urban economy, water management, and health-care. Finally, on the last day of the training, the presentations by teams/groups will be delivered, and successful defences will be awarded the certificates corresponding to 3 ECTS.
