Project Description

The 6th International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (FBAS 2026), scheduled to take place in Beijing from September 6 to 8, 2026. The event is hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and organized by the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS) and the Aerospace Information Research Institute, CAS. The International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (FBAS) has been held annually for five consecutive years since its inception in 2021. It aims to build a cooperative and exchange platform that promotes the use of big data in advancing sustainable development goals.

FBAS 2026 will follow up on the success of the previous events, with the theme “Inheriting the Future: Innovations in Digital Intelligence for a post-2030 Sustainable Development Agenda”. The five topics of FBAS 2026 are: (1) Digital Intelligence Technologies Accelerating Global Sustainable Development, (2) Big Data Supporting SDG Monitoring and Evaluation, (3) AI-Driven Global Sustainable Development, (4) Global Partnerships Accelerating SDG Achievement, and (5) Reflections on Sustainable Development Goals: Co-Creating the Post-2030 Agenda.
