Project Description

The 6th International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (FBAS-2026) is scheduled to take place in Beijing, China from September 6th to 8th, 2026. The event is hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and organized by the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals and the Aerospace Information Research Institute, CAS.

The forum has been held annually for five consecutive years since its inception in 2021. It aims to build a cooperative and exchange platform that promotes the use of big data in advancing sustainable development. The forum shares scientific progress, application demonstrations, and solutions that leverage digital technologies to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and brings together various stakeholders to utilize big data technologies in advancing the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

FBAS-2026 will bring together leading scholars, policymakers, engineers, and young scientists from around the world in the fields of big data, artificial intelligence, and other advanced digital technologies, as well as sustainable development. The event is helping to join forces in forging the innovative solutions to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs and inject transformative new momentum into the global effort to achieve sustainable development.
