The Erasmus+ ClimEd project is arranging the 7th training (onsite/ hybrid, 7-11 April 2025, Vila-Seca, Tarragona, Spain) on Developing Skills to Use Climatic Information and Services for Various Climate-Dependent Branches of Economy. The ClimEd Trainings are focused on training the faculty staff at the ClimEd partner institutions in advanced educational and information-and-communication technologies for building a flexible multi-level integrated practice-based education system in the field of Climate Services, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.

Training Programme includes lecturing and practicing Blocks (B1, B2, B3, B4)

• Lecturing (Blocks – B1, B2, B3, B4)

B1 (Mon) – Climate Data and Products (Climate indices, ClimPact, GIS applications in climate services, User friendly climate data projection, Downloading projection data)

B2 (Tue) – Sectorial Climate Products (Recovering the indices co-defined during the 4th ClimEd training; Definition of sectorial indices; Computing sectorial indices; Introduction to RSTUDIO and Shiny)

B3 (Wed, Thu) – Develop Climate Service Prototype to Transform Data in Information (Feedback on Moodle courses and MOOCs developed under 5^th and 6^th ClimEd trainings;  Creating a Shynni App, supported by IA, if necessary; How to evaluate the ecological conditions of ecosystems and their relationship to ecosystem services)

B4 (Thu) – Practice and preparations of group presentations for the Climate Service Prototype (CSP) based on Shinny App

• Groups’/ teams’ reporting (Fri)
  • Groups’ presentations and discussions
  • Evaluations of group, training course, and learning outcomes of the training
  • Awarding e-certificates & 3 ECTS credits
