Academician Nikolay Kasimov, President of the Faculty of Geography, Moscow State University, was elected as a new Foreign Member of the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters. Academician Kasimov, a Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is a PEEX Fellow and integral part of our PEEX network with Russia. The Finnish Academy of Sciences elected six new foreign members this year. Altogether they have around 180 foreign members out of 1000. The members are chosen based on distinguished achievements and academic excellence in their respective fields.
