The International Summer School Program on Climate Change and Related Risks is scheduled to take place at the Fudan University (Shanghai, China) from 21 July to 8 August 2024. This Summer School Program is a collaborative effort between the Fudan University (FDU), the World Meteorological Organization/ Global Atmosphere Watch Programme (WMO/GAW), the Monitoring, Analysis, and Prediction of Air Quality International Research Program (MAP-AQ), and the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk International Program (IRDR).

The 2024 program will delve into the theme of “climate change and air quality.” We are privileged to have several globally renowned scholars and officials leading the way in their respective fields, each bringing extensive teaching experience to the summer school. Additionally, we will be inviting a select group of exceptional young scholars and officials to share their latest research findings in related areas. The program is structured around three modules: (a) Science Basis of Climate Change, (b) Climate Change Governance, and (c) Climate Change – Air Quality – Health Nexus. Instruction will be conducted in English.

Students and postdocs in atmospheric sciences, environmental sciences, climate governance or relevant fields from any country are welcome to apply. Young scholars who received their PhD degree within 5 years are also welcome. Applicants should have a good command of English. The summer school is free of tuition.
