Project Description

The 2022 Millenium Technology Prize was delivered  to Prof. Martin Green at a ceremony in Helsinki on October 25, 2022. A group of journalists, participating in the Millenium Prize Ceremony, also visited SMEAR-III Station in Helsinki and INAR lab at the Kumpula Campus.

Journalist from Iceland, India, South Africa and Czech Republic visited at SMEAR III and INAR laboratories on Wednesday, Oct 26. During the INAR lab tour we introduced the aerosol instrumentation, mass spectrometers and the radar laboratory. After the tour Academician M. Kulmala presented the recent progress on the climate change and air qaulity research. Also the importance of the comprehensive and continous atmospheric observations was discussed.
