The conference had a great success and expected to be continuing. About 400 participants from different continents joined it.

Professor Markku Kulmala was one of the key invited speakers on the conference plenary session (see photos). In his presentation “On the importance of continuous/long-term comprehensive observations: From local clustering to regional air quality and global climate” he informed about INAR relevant studies as well as PEEX collaboration of European countries with China and other Eurasian partners.

WMO Chief Scientist Prof. Juerg Lutterbacher officially opened the conference, Prof. Greg Carmichael, the Chair of GAW SSC, provided overview of current WMO research projects.
Prof. Guy Brasseur, co-chair of the conference, provided a great overall conference outcomes presentation. It is expected that the 2nd CWCC conference will continue this tradition and organize the next CWCC event in a few years.
