Project Description

The European Geoscience Union (EGU) General Assembly took place in Vienna, Austria during 14-19 April 2024 in a hybrid mode (https://www.egu24.eu). The EGU24 attended onsite 18,388 persons from 116 countries. 2,591 persons from 109 countries joined the event online. 57% of contributors were early career scientists.
Among PEEX related presentations, results and outcomes of the PEEX-MP-Europa3 HPC research projects were delivered onsite (https://www.atm.helsinki.fi/peex/index.php/mp-europa3) at the session AS3.18 “Atmospheric Composition and Numerical Weather Forecasting” (https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU24/session/48900). Mykhailo Savenets presented a poster entitled “Near-surface meteorology changes driven by aerosol effects during the April 2020 wildfires in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, Ukraine” (https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU24/EGU24-303.html). Larysa Pysarenko presented a poster entitled “A case study of aerosol effects impact on key meteorological characteristics in Ukraine during heat wave event in July-August 2010” (https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU24/EGU24-17895.html).
