The Autumn 2025 School on “Analysis of Atmosphere-Surface Interactions and Feedbacks” is organized by the Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research (INAR) of the University of Helsinki in October 2025. It will take place during 6-17 October 2025. This School will take place at the Hyytiälä Forest station (Finland; https://www.helsinki.fi/en/research-stations/hyytiala-forest-station).

The aim of the School is to study ecosystem-atmosphere interactions in relation to different environments (forest, peatland, and agricultural land) and their management, such as thinning. It is implemented by working in small groups using programming tools (Matlab, Python, R) for statistical analyses and data visualization. Short introductory lectures on relevant topics will be given during the course.

The School is aimed for master’s and doctoral students in atmospheric, biospheric, and Earth system sciences.
