Project Description

The Horizon-2020 RI-URBANS (https://riurbans.eu; Research Infrastructures Services Reinforcing Air Quality Monitoring Capacities in European Urban & Industrial AreaS) project 3rd Science Meeting will take place in a hybrid (onsite/ online) mode on 25-26 September 2024 in Helsinki, Finland. The scope of this meeting is in the following major topics of the project: 1) Summary of research outputs from WPs since the 2nd Science Meeting; 2) Developed RI-URBANS Service Tools (STs) and their applications; 3) Guidance documents (Art 10, Annex 7 of new EU Air Quality (AQ) Directive) for implementing advanced AQ parameters; 4) Added value of measuring the listed above AQ parameters at Pan-European scale in urban areas; and 5) Open access to RI-URBANS compiled data. At the same time, a major goal of the meeting is to involve AQ policy stakeholders in the interpretations and discussions of the project results, as well as demonstrations and applications of the STs. Concerning AQ policy stakeholders, the project intends to invite experts from international organisations as well as representatives from cities, regions and countries involved in the pilot studies and others with potential interest in the STs.

The Horizon-2020 CRiceS (https://www.crices-h2020.eu; Climate Relevant interactions and feedbacks: the key role of sea ice and Snow in the polar and global climate system) project Annual Meeting will take place in a hybrid (onsite/ online) mode on 28-31 October 2024 in Bologna, Italy.
