Professor Solomon Derese, University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya (KE), give an online presentation on our project during the Regional Erasmus+ Cluster Meeting and Contact-Making Seminar 2025 for Sub-Saharan Africa held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, May 21 -22, 2025. He also participated in the panel discussion and answered UNAVEX related questions by the participants.
In addition to introducing UnaVEx and highlighting the work we’ve accomplished so far, Solomon discussed how UNAVEX project aligns with the conference theme—the Role of Education in the Green Transition. UnaVEx’s program tackles global challenges through collaborative learning, sharing knowledge and experiences, co-creating solutions, and collectively envisioning a better, more sustainable future.
The green education transition needs of our program is met through:
- Knowledge and skills transfer
- Capacity building for green leadership
- Cross cultural collaboration and global citizenship and
- Promoting youth engagement in climate action
