KU Leuven first iteration of the UnaVEx project

For the first iteration of the UnaVEx project, KU Leuven was fully committed to the dissemination and communication of the exchange. We have visited the various official bodies, such as the international liaison officers, the diversity council, the sustainability council, and the Interfaculty Meeting of Diversity Officers. We interacted with our network for sustainable education and involved the eco-teams in the communication. We also ensured that the UnaVEx project was visible in places frequented by students, such as learning centers and libraries. Our green office, our student organisation for sustainability at the university, promoted the activity on social media and contributed to it through personal conversations with students.

We received many useful tips on reaching moderators, the inclusivity of the programme and involving students in the exchange. UnaVEx was very well received by the various actors within the university. The combination of sustainability in all its facets, from knowledge to action, the inclusive and international aspects, and the possibility of a virtual exchange was seen as a huge added value. Faculties were therefore keen to communicate this project to their students and helped us to find opportunities to embed the program in the university. This resulted in a collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. They will implement UnaVEx in their curriculum in the fall of 2025.
