The CLUVEX Mid-Term Report submitted to EU

The CLUVEX project team prepared mid-term report for the 1st reporting period (RP1;  1 Jul 2023 0 31 Dec 2024) and it has been finally submitted to EU on 7 February 2025.

The reporting in web-portal included reporting on completed Deliverables (8 public reports), Milestones (10 archived), Events and Trainings (22 as monthly online meetings of the CLUVEX Partners, kick-off meetings online and hybrid, 1st Virtual Exchange (VE) Week for students, and 6 trainings for moderators), Communication activities (18) and Dissemination activities (39). It also included reporting as a separate document about overview of the progress in the project (summary of work performed and achievements, results and impacts; consortium set-up; update on project teams, staff and experts; consortium management and decision-making; project management, quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation strategy; cost effectiveness and financial management; risk management; impact; communication, dissemination and visibility; sustainability and continuation’ and follow-up to EU recommendations) and work done in each WorkPackage (activities, resources, and timing – timetable).

Main results achieved during the RP1 are the following:

  • Designed the tailored VE concept, meeting the curricula standards at the UH – Open University for 1 (students) and 3-5 (moderators) ECTS credit points: CLUVEX VE 1 credit point officialised.
  • Elaborated educational materials for students and moderators – the Virtual Exchange Guidebook (VEG), Climate Literacy Guidebook (CLG), Climate Messenger Code of Conduct (CMC) guidebooks (D2.1-D2.3); 8 lectures on climate related topics, 3 tools for analysis of climate data included in CLG: all available in DigiCampus, Google Drive, and website.
  • Designed and prepared the Climate Horizon group exercise: piloted at 1st VE Week (VE Week); pedagogical analysis in-progress.
  • Designed, prepared, implemented, and piloted training program for moderators (D2.4) with educational materials (D3.1): 5 online trainings in May-Sep 2024: TR1 CLUVEX concept, technical skills; TR2 Climate University MOOCs; TR3 Soft skills; TR4 CLUVEX guidebooks, materials; TR5 Climate Horizon group exercise, tools for climate data analysis.
  • Educated the first cohort of Moderators (numbers, registered in DigiCampus): 77
  • Established a digital e-campus platform DigiCampus for Moderators and for Students with all educational materials, communication chat, instructions to submit study report for ECTS.
  • Implemented and piloted the 1st VEW for students (D4.1) (numbers in DigiCampus for students and moderators): registered participants in the Students’ and Moderators’ DigiCampus areas: 429 and 77; with certificates: 247 and 37 (based on active participation); with credits: 114 and 37 (based on submitted reports).
  • Collected data using pre- and post-questionaries feedback forms (VE Week, VE concept, pedagogical approach -for peer-reviewed papers): preliminary analysis (34 moderators and 97 students responded).
  • Distributed the Call text for 1st VE Week for students in CLUVEX Partners, collaborating universities, networks, introduced the CLUVEX concept in several events, established website, Facebook, LinkedIN.
  • Implementation process required active communication between CLUVEX Partners through monthly online meetings (13 in RP1), hosted online (Aug 2023), hybrid (Oct 2023, Finland) kick-off-meetings.
