The CLUVEX project was presented during the PEEX Seminar on 22 April at the ACCC Impact Week (22-25 April 2025) which took place in a hybrid mode in the Sofia Cultural Centre, Helsinki, Finland. More than 50 persons attended the event, including almost 30 persons – online. Julia Kurhumaa (Univ Helsinki) presented the CLUVEX project and announced among the participants the approaching 2nd Virtual Exchange (VE) Week for students (12-16 May 2025).
CLUVEX project is strongly linked with the Climate University, which is a network of multi-disciplinary collaboration among Finnish higher education institutions, and which offers courses related to climate change, biodiversity and sustainability. The CLUVEX project developed the concept of virtual exchange, which has been already applied in trainings for moderators and education (as VE Weeks) for students. Such education includes a series of lectures on climate related topics, tutorials on tools for climate-related data analysis. During VE Weeks students are working online in group, led by moderators, creating climate change themed utopias – Climate Horizons – hopeful state of the future from climate change perspective.
