Smear III

(Contact persons:Leena Järvi, Annika Nordbo,Timo Vesala)

EC fluxes are measured at SMEAR III urban measurement station (Helsinki, southern Finland). The micrometeorological measurement mast (31 m high) is located in Kumpula campus about 4 kilometers from downtown of Helsinki.

EC SMEARIII Turbulent fluxes of momentum, sensible and latent heat, carbon dioxide and aerosol particles are measured since 2005. EC system is mounted at 31 m above the ground, and it includes the three dimensional ultrasonic anemometer Metek USA-1 (u, v, w, Ts), the closed-path gas analyser Licor_7000 (CO2 and H2O), the open-path gas analyser Licor_7500 (CO2 and H2O), and the WCPC_3781 (aerosol particle number concentration).
