SMEAR II Hyytiälä REA tower
(Contact persons:Ivan Mammarella,
Timo Vesala)
EC fluxes are measured at SMEAR II field measurement station (Hyytiälä, southern Finland).
The micrometeorological measurement tower is located within an extended forest canopy
(average tree height: 16 m) 30 m away from the main mast.
Turbulent fluxes of momentum, sensible and latent heat, carbon dioxide and ozone are measured since 2001.
EC system is mounted at 23 m above the ground,
and it includes the three dimensional sonic anemometer Gill Solent HS (u, v, w, Ts),
the closed-path gas analyser
Licor_6262 (CO2 and H2O) and the fast response chemiluminescence gas analyser LOZ-3, Unisearch Associates Inc, Canada (O3).
