The 1st training for moderators participating in the 2nd Virtual Exchange Week (VE Week; 12-16 My 2025) for students was carried out on 26 March 2025. In total, more than 50 participants, including 12 new moderators, attended online the training.

During this training, the following was presented: basic information about the CLUVEX project, including info about partners/teams, staff involved, project aims; importance of online learning the future of education; project stages in workflow for VEs and dissemination, upscaling, and networking; approach for the VE Weeks for students; in brief outlined programme; preparatory materials (VEG, CLG, CMC); planned lectures; useful tools for climate related data analysis; work in groups on “Climate Horizon” exercise; learning outcomes and earned bonuses for students participated in VE Week; possibilities to attend the Climate University online courses; what moderators will earn and have after trainings as moderators and moderation during VE Weeks; how to use the DigiCampus area for moderators; how to earn credits for moderators; etc.
These were followed by questions from the participants and answers from the CLUVEX University Helsinki team members.
The 2nd next training “Moderators-Get-Together” will take place online on 9 April 2025, at 14:30 pm of Helsinki time. The focus of the training is on the “Climate Horizon” exercise, how to use Miro board, examples of Miro-boards from the 1st VE Week, division of students in groups, how to work in Zoom e.g. groups and break-out-rooms and testing.
