CLUVEX practical training for hosts of the  4th VE Week

The online training for hosts for the 4th Virtual Exchange (VE) Week for students (23-27 February 2026) took place on  29 January 2026. Representatives from CLUVEX Partners/ Universities: from Finland – University of Helsinki (UH), from Denmark – University of Copenhagen (UCPH), from Ukraine – Mechnikov’s Odesa National University (ONU), from Armenia – Yerevan State University (YSU) attended this training.

Laura Riuttanen (UH) shared own experiences and skills from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd VE Weeks (October 2024, May 2025, and October 2025, respectively). The role of hosts includes the welcoming attitude to everyone participating in the VE Week, creating for all the engaging and caring atmosphere, taking care of the flow, and always to be open and do it in own personal way. As the VE Week continues during 5 days, on a day-by-day basis, the role of the hosts is – welcoming, introducing themselves, introducing speakers (lecturers and demonstrators of tools for climate related data visualization and analysis), keeping time, hosting questions and answers, introducing break-out rooms, leading wrap-up (presentations and discussions of the Climate Horizons exercises), introducing the feedback forms, aspects of practical organization, etc.

It is planned that the hosts of the 4th VE Week will be: Mykyta Rozvod (ONU) and Hasmik Vardumyan (YSU).
