The 3rd training for moderators participating in the 4th Virtual Exchange Week (VE Week; 23-27 February 2026) for students was carried out on 11 February 2026. In total, 20 participants attended online the training.

During this training the focus was on orientation for the 4th VE Week and questions/ answers. It started from the welcome words, status/ update check on registered moderators and students, moderators’ expectations questionnaire, get-to-know activity in Zoom (in break-out-rooms), moderators’ credits and certificates after the VE Week completed.
The current status that for the 4th VE Week, the 35 persons confirmed that they will attend and act as the moderators. About 380 students have already pre-registered (the final deadline is 15 February 2026) to participate in the 4th VE Week. About 200 students completed their registration in the DigiCampus area for students. The hosts of the upcoming 4th VE Week will be Mykyta Rozvod (Mechnikov’s Odessa National University, ONU, Ukraine) and Hasmik Vardumyan (Yerevan State University, Armenia). Colleagues from the University of Helsinki – Mikko Kulmala (Zoom technical host), Aleksi Vauhkonen (administration of students in DigiCampus), Julia Karhumaa (Climate Horizon exercise), Laura Riuttanen, Hanna Lappalinen, and Alexander Mahura (other support).
The VE Week programme (day-by-day) schedule was repeated for the moderators. The capabilities of the Miro-board for the groups of students were also demonstrated and recommended to “play” (how to add information to the board, how to use sticky notes, how to draw, how to use all available options on the board). The participants of the training answered on questionnaire “Moderators basic information and expectations” related questions on motivation, proficiency with technology, expectations about social interaction, challenges and feedback. Then, the moderators got into break-out-rooms for practicing on get-to-know activity. Finally, the credits for moderators were explained in more details. All these activities were followed by questions from the participants and answers from the CLUVEX University Helsinki team members.

- get up to 3 ECTS credits, issues by the Open University at the University of Helsinki;
- get a possibility to attend online the Climate University selected courses;
- hone your online interaction, pedagogy and language skills in international environment;
- increase your contacts with the CLUVEX network and universities.
