Welcome new Climate University members Diak and Humak

CLUVEX and UnaVEx Virtual Exchanges
The Climate University for Virtual Exchanges (CLUVEX) virtual exchange project came to an end in June 2026. The last CLUVEX virtual exchange was organised in April 2026 and the final seminar of the project took place 16 June. Throughout the project, the CLUVEX virtual exchange was completed by almost 1000 students and 100 moderators got trained.
In the Europe-Africa virtual exchange project Una Europa Virtual Exchanges for Sustainability (UnaVEx) virtual exchanges have been organised three times so far, and two more virtual exchanges will be organised in November and December 2026. The student registration opens 15 September. New moderators are welcome to apply here by 15 October.
The virtual exchanges CLUVEX and UnaVEx have since 2024 enabled students of the Climate University network to participate in virtual exchanges focusing on climate change education (CLUVEX) or sustainability education (UnaVEx) in an international learning environment.

Climate University teachers: Updating of the Climate University course materials
The CU offers a total of 14 courses, and developments in the various areas covered by these courses are progressing rapidly. The courses are regularly reviewed for updates. To facilitate the organization of these updates, each course has an Excel file with information about updates and update needs on its Teams channel, which course responsible teachers have access to. The aim is for these files to be used for informing course teachers and developers about update needs in specific course materials, as well as serving as a repository for tracking when particular materials have been reviewed. We encourage course teachers to utilize these Excel files and hint us on new materials and potential resources.

Climate University is a finalist in the International Green Gown Award 2026
CU is a finalist in the International Green Gown Award in the category of Next Generation Learning and Skills. The winners of the Green Gown Awards 2026 are announced in September. Read more on the website for the International Green Gown Awards.
