Join the Moderators’ Training Program for

CLUVEX VIRTUAL EXCHANGE (VE) WEEKs

The University of Helsinki coordinates EU ERASMUS+ project  “Climate University for Virtual Exchange”, CLUVEX (2023-2027), as a part of Climate University at University of Helsinki. CLUVEX organizes interactive, on-line virtual exchange week, 3 hours per day, on Climate Change and Sustainability Sciences topics for students from European and Eastern European universities mainly from Finland, Denmark, Ukraine and Armenia.

First CLUVEX virtual exchange week is in October 14-18, 2024. During the VE Week we will introduce and discuss the latest scientific knowledge on climate change from multidisciplinary perspectives, from natural sciences to society-socio economics and art. During CLUVEX virtual exchange week we organize sessions in Zoom with 500 students together with the discussions in small groups of 10 students with one moderator each.

Moderators´ central role is to support and motivate the international and interdisciplinary interactions, discussions, and learning in the small 10 students groups on-line in Zoom.

Participating Moderators’ training & moderating during the Virtual Exchange Week  as a moderator you will…

• get an internship certificate related to your studies
• may have credits, 3-5 ECTS, given by Open University at University of Helsinki
• can practice your interaction, pedagogy and language skills in an international environment
• learn to work remotely
• increase your contacts with the CLUVEX network and universities
• have an unique experience that broadens your world view

TR6 – Moderators’ get-together 27 Sep 2024, Friday, 14-16 pm of EET/Helsinki time

Moderators at Finnish learning institutions may use the Haka login system. Moderators from outside Finland may create a new account preferably using their university email addresses.

Instructions for moderators: creating a Digicampus account

Here is a step-by-step guide for enrolling in the CLUVEX Virtual Exchange Week as a moderator. All the Virtual Exchange Week activities take place in an online learning environment called Digicampus.

  1. Leave you contact information at the website to joint moderators’ e-mailing list: https://www.atm.helsinki.fi/cluvex/?page_id=668
  2. Go to https://digicampus.fi/login/index.php
  3. Register to Digicampus using your University email (Create new account) (or your Google address).
  4. Registering with your University email address: fill in your personal information and press ‘Create my new account’.
  5. Then you should see this view. Next, check your email inbox.
  6. Open the message sent to your email

    and click the link:

  7. Now you have created your Digicampus account. To enroll in the Virtual Exchange as a moderator, type ‘UH: CLUVEX moderators’ into the search bar:

After the Virtual Exchange Week: Instructions on getting credits for being a moderator

  1. After moderating the Virtual Exchange Week(s) and writing your study report, go to the bottom of the Moderator course page
  2. After you have submitted your study report, click ‘Registration for credits at University of Helsinki’ and follow the link in the instructions:
  3. Click ‘Register for course’
  4. Click ‘Continue without logging in’
  5. Fill in your personal information and press ‘Continue’.
