Project Description

The e-Final-Meeting of the Climate University for Virtual Exchanges (CLUVEX, https://www.atm.helsinki.fi/cluvex, 2023-2026) project took place online on 3rd (open only for the CLUVEX Partners) and 16th June (open for all) 2026. More than 80 persons attended the meeting: members of CLUVEX Partners/teams; members of the Student Advisory Board (SAB) and Expert Advisory Board (EAB); EU Project Officer for CLUVEX; CLUVEX Partner university representatives (pedagogy teachers) and participants from the VE Weeks – students, moderators and hosts. On 3rd June, the programme started with welcome words and reporting on overall project coordination (by the coordinator), and continued with reporting on: WP1 “Management and Quality Assurance” for the project management and required updates for final reporting to EU as well as remaining deliverables; WP3 “Staff Training for Virtual Exchange” for training of moderators so-called the Moderators-Get-Together and updates to final reporting; WP4 “Implementation for Virtual Exchange” for Virtual Exchange Weeks for students’ training for students, remaining deliverables and updates to final reporting; and WP5 “Dissemination, Visibility and Sustainability”, remaining deliverables, and updates to final reporting. Moreover, it included updates on financial reporting by CLUVEX Partners as well as discussions and schedule for finalization of reporting to EU.

On 16th June, the programme included a series of presentations (see links to presentations, see video-recording of the meeting) divided into four sessions chaired by CLUVEX Partners from Finland, Armenia, Denmark and Ukraine. Following agenda of the meeting a series of presentations was delivered, including CLUVEX Partners/ teams and SAB members greetings to the participants. The CLUVEX Partners shared achieved results/ outcomes and lessons learnt from development and application of guidebooks and lectures, Climate Horizon exercise and Miro-boards, web-based tools for climate related data, moderators’ training and Virtual Exchange (VE) Weeks for students. Moreover, talks about the study points and cooperation between universities in recognition of study credits, and Climate University and perspectives on distance learning. Participants of the VE Weeks – students, moderators, and hosts – shared their personal valuable experiences during own short talks.

The EU CLUVEX Project Officer underlined positive experiences of students, moderators and hosts during VE Weeks, congratulated on implementation of the project and well-established collaboration between the Partners, warm wishes to Ukrainian colleagues, commented on very positive evaluation of mid-term reporting and wished good luck with preparation of the final reporting to EU.

The Expert Advisory Board underlined that the CLUVEX project was truly successful project with truly uplifting experience, especially, from younger members/ participants of VE Weeks, congratulated the coordinator and the CLUVEX Partners for wonderful collaboration, Climate University for providing platform for internationalisation of online education, CLUVEX project for providing access to VE Weeks elaborated materials, all participants of VE Weeks – moderators, hosts, and especially all students the Climate Messengers.
